Religion and Food Series with Bill St John

Food feeds many hungers, one of which is hunger for the sacred. This little course will examine the nexus of food and religion in several religious cultures from both the East and West. To believers, religions and religious food rites make meaning, mark special occasions, and provide identity. (To non-believers such as myself, the whole thing is just fascinating.) Dinners: April 9, Roast vegetables and grilled meat; April 16, Asian vegetarian; April 23, Mediterranean.
