Can’t Make it to This year’s Great American Beer Festival? No problem!

Pizza and beer on a table

Here’s how you can still enjoy a GREAT beer experience on the weekend of the event, FOMO-Free

Whether you have a ticket to the official Great American Beer Festival or not, local artisan pizzeria and craft beer taproom, Hops & Pie, is once again hosting its annual incredible slate of events in honor of GABF – no ticket needed.

Hops & Pie is temporarily adding an additional 20 taps via their old Falling Rock trailer, bringing them up to 55-60 lines for the week, often featuring beers that never make it to this state, otherwise.

The four events, which are a craft beer lover’s dream, include a CSA Portfolio kickoff event, Elite Brands portfolio day and even a Hops & Pie “beer treasures” day, uncovering kegs that the restaurant has been saving.

The schedule of events, starting at 11 a.m., include:

  • Wednesday, October 8 – Hops & Pie is kicking off GABF with a CSA portfolio tasting. They’ll be pouring beers from De Garde, Live Oak, Other Half, Perennial, pFriem, Side Project and more.
  • Thursday, October 9 – Hops & Pie’s Westbound and Friends will have beer from Westbound & Down, Bierstadt, Amalgam, Cannonball Creek, Comrade, Breakside and more.
  • Friday, October 10 – Elite Brands portfolio is rolling in on Friday with highly anticipated beers (tap list to come!).
  • Saturday, October 11 – Hops & Pie will be unveiling treasure troves of kegs during Hops & Pie Beer Treasures that they have been saving from some of the best breweries in the U.S. (tap list to come!).

So whether you’re headed to the official Great American Beer Festival – or not – heading to Hops & Pie for the weekend will feel like a festival experience with a lineup of “great” brews and lively entertainment.
